Ep 258: Hellraiser (1987) & Event Horizon (1997).

Andy and Sean examine two films that take you to the brink of Hell whilst also honouring the late Sam Neill. The films are 1987's British cult horror Hellraiser and the 1997 Paul W.S Anderson film, Event Horizon.

Because of course you’d smash these movies together!

Movie Posters don’t come much more iconic than Hellraiser, the 1987 film by Clive Barker (Nightbreed, Lord of Illusions). Described by the legendary film critic Roger Ebert as a movie “without wit, style or reason, and the true horror is that actors were made to portray, and technicians to realize, its bankruptcy of imagination.” Wowsers, tell us how you really feel, Rog!

The recent passing of Sam Neill has made Event Horizon hit social media trends all over again, with stories of Sam Neill, who is portraying an Australian character in the future, deciding to incorporate the Aboriginal flag onto the existing Australian flag, because he believed that Australia would be a republic by then. He of far too much faith, it might appear.

But how do hosts Andy Williams and Sean Wilson feel about these two movies?
