Welcoming Sam Stokes (& Den of Ten) to Punch & Pie Media

Punch & Pie Media is thrilled to introduce the newest member of our team; UK Film Critic Sam Stokes.

Keen listeners to the Reel Talk Podcast at Film Stories may have already heard the news; Sam Stokes is bringing his wealth of podcasting experience and film knowledge to Punch & Pie Media.

Sam got his start with the We Made This Podcast Network (now part of Film Stories), introducing the world to Den of Ten, an original concept Sam had with Ed Gee, who has since dropped out of co-hosting duties.  After 90 episodes of making Pop Culture-related Top 10 Lists, Den of Ten is joining Punch & Pie Media. 

Sam will also be joining one of our existing shows Academy Watch, joining Bo Nicholson to analyse recent films and predict the Oscars.  Sam’s input will introduce new elements to the show which fans are sure to enjoy.

Bo, who is also a co-founder at Punch & Pie, said “I’m really excited to have Sam joining our team.  He brings a wealth of knowledge of film, he loves a list (as do I) and, above all, is a great person.  His attributes are certainly an asset for us and I look forward to working with him closely on Academy Watch”.

In addition to listening to Sam on Den of Ten and Academy Watch very soon, you can also watch his short form movie reviews at Sixty Second Film Reviews, which does what it says on the tin, and he will continue with Film Stories in his capacity as a co-host on their Lord of the Rings podcast One Rules Them All.
